Super easy, tasty, healthy, and quick no bake chocolate chip cookies dough bites will be your new favorite snack to whip up anytime! They’re paleo and vegan, kid friendly, portable, and have just 6 ingredients. The result tastes just like chocolate chip cookie dough, but is actually good for you!
Balls are all over the internet right? I’m so behind in my no-bake-ball-game but I’m catching up and breaking out of my rut with these no bake raisin chocolate chip cookie dough bites. Yeah, I called them “bites” in the title but now that we’re past formalities let’s just be real and call them balls. Dang tasty balls, at that. You heard me – easy, tasty, paleo, chocolate-y, almond-butter-y, promise to hit-the-spot balls.
With every ounce of serious in my being though, after the first bite I, the kids and Adam became addicted to these and 2 batches didn’t last more than a couple of days. That means I really do have to up my game, make more of them, and figure out some new combos too.
I guess what I’m trying to say is 1) I can’t resist making balls jokes on the internet 2) honestly, who can? and 3) you want these balls in your mouth ASAP. Within 10 minutes, that can be your reality. Don’t hesitate, the recipe is super easy 🙂
Lastly I have to thank my two big sources of inspiration for these – Amanda and Arman, because they are 100% awesome no-bake-ball-making rockstars. They make tons of other healthy and delicious things too, so go check them out if you’re not already obsessed 🙂
I used finely ground hazelnut flour for these but almond flour would be fine too, I doubt you can go wrong, this is a very forgiving recipe! Which is the best kind of recipe in my opinion, because of my impatience and trouble focusing, but now we’re getting off topic. It’s Friday and although you might not NEED these balls to brighten your day, they certainly won’t hurt, so give ’em a whirl!
This weekend (yes now I’m changing the subject back to MY life. My blog after all. I’m being awkward not b*tchy FYI) we are doing a big Toys R Us trip on Saturday to get Drew is first bike plus he’s super excited to pick out a new Barbie Doll. I’m not entirely sure we won’t come home with a Barbie doll and a Barbie bike for him, in fact I’m thinking this WILL in fact be the case.
After that we have family dinner plans, and, an even bigger Sunday. Diana is performing with her dance team at Six Flags (the reason the LI half didn’t work, I’m over it at this point. Mostly.) and we’ll be making a day of it and taking advantage as much as we can. I haven’t been there since some time in college but apparently they have a lot of rides and other things for little kids, so we’re all excited for it, because, let’s face it, we need the excuse to step out of our typical Sunday routine 🙂

Workouts from the past week and plenty of weekend picture (assuming I remember) will be up Monday! Have a great weekend guys!
What are you up to this weekend?
What’s your favorite no bake treat?
*Bonus points if it’s balls
** Double bonus if you can make an inappropriate balls joke to go along with it

i’m with you, i can’t get enough ball jokes either. my husband just makes it worse, his comments are way too inappropriate on every level… such a shame because i think they are brilliant, but would ban me from everything i read. 😀
my favorite no-bake treat right now is this: cacao-maca dessert sauce or just dessert. i take a mug, add a scoop of raw cacao powder, then a giant spoon of maca powder. add some sugar and enough hot water to make it ‘saucy’ or less to make it a dessert on it’s own. but i made this as a topping for the arctic zero that i’m trying to get through, the arctic zero is just not doing it for me so i have to jazz it up. after we finish it i don’t think i’ll get it again, it just makes me want something ‘more’… and that is not the point. like last night after dinner, i had the arctic zero, made the sauce, liked it more, but then felt confused. it was so unsatisfying i had to eat some carrots with dip for a 2nd dessert. totally bizarre, so i’m staying away from it! arctic zero, not carrots or cacao or maca. lol
all treats aside i’ll be creating some savory balls so be on the lookout. i’ve told my husband that i am about to go on a serious sugar hiatous because i am really bad at moderation, and i’ve been on a sweets binge lately. so i’m calling in reinforcements and pretty soon we will have a sugar free kitchen, god help us. this comes about mainly because i’m feeling super foggy, and quitting the white stuff helps with all things fertility wise… and that’s sort of important to me right now 🙂
It’s a fine line between a tasteful balls joke and getting banned I think 🙂
I tried arctic zero a few years ago and I think I threw the pint out, it was like ice water and had no taste! I’m sure your sauce on its own is a lot more delicious! I know that feeling of wanting to pull away from sugar, and it really makes a big positive difference in how we feel! I was never a moderation type either, not sure I know what the word even means! I think everyone sees moderation differently.
OMG im laughing….my boyfriend makes what he calls protein bites but then makes like 1000 ball references and laughs out loud to himself in the kitchen ! its pretty comical. he will bring them to me and say “can i interest you in my balls” or “come into the kitchen i have my balls on a plate” or something equally weird. have fun this weekend !
He sounds hysterical, love it!
You’re right, I do need those balls in my mouth this weekend… Did you draw any inspiration from Alec Baldwin’s Schweddy balls? Top 5 SNL skit easily…
Sounds like you have s crazy but fun weekend ahead you – have a blast!!!
There’s a direct reference to the Schweddy balls somewhere on my blog and not to be repetitive I didn’t mention him but yes, the ultimate balls skit, hysterical. Now I’m curious what post that’s in! Thanks and hope you guys have a great weekend too!
I need those balls in my mouth 😉
You won’t regret it 😉
I always have a batch of protein balls in the fridge or freezer for when I walk in the door famished from a run. These sound like great ones to try.
Such a perfect quick snack 🙂 I’ll have to try making some with protein powder.
I love making balls. Especially protein balls. I keep them in my freezer for a quick snack… *insert shrinkage joke here*
Frozen balls are an extra special treat! For a second I started wondering if my balls would actually shrink in the cold 😉
Every time I see recipes for things like this I think about how delicious they sound and easy they are to make. And then I don’t do it. You had me at chocolate chip cookie dough though. I have to try these!
With no bake and no food processor these are easy enough that I’m more likely to actually make them! I do the same thing and put off making stuff all the time. Have a great weekend 🙂
Amanda and Arman really know how to make balls! Love their recipes. My fav no bake snacks are the protein kinds with protein powder, nut butter, sometimes oats, choc chips, or whatever my little heart desires 🙂 but to be honest, the fastest, easiest and delicious snacks are veggie sticks or apple with nut butter 😀
When I was in LA last year I’ve been to a six flags too and it was AWESOME! Have fun!
That sounds great, I’ll have to try some with protein powder! And dipping things in nut butter is always quick and delicious 🙂 And thanks!
I can’t wait to take a bite of your balls! hahahaha! I will forever laugh at the word balls. It’s just to easy to make jokes about.
Too easy not to take advantage of a laugh 🙂 The balls are worth it 😉
The bites (actually, balls lol) that I make are gone in two seconds too! So good and so easy to keep popping. Have so much fun at Great Adventure! I haven’t been there in forever but keep saying maybe we should go. Next year we will run the LI Half at the same time!
If we weren’t going for this reason I’m not sure I’d make the effort, so perfect 🙂 Hope you’re feeling a little better and the race can still work!
