These sweet potato sliders are loaded with goodies! Taco-seasoned mini burger patties over roasted sweet potato “buns” topped with an easy guacamole, chipotle ranch and crumbled bacon. Perfect as an appetizer, party food or a fun meal! Paleo and Whole30 compliant, family approved!
I posted these on my Instagram stories last week and people went WILD – you guys sure love your sliders!
And hey, I don’t blame you one bit – these LOADED sweet potato sliders are everything I was craving when I made them last week, and pretty much everything I’m craving right now, too.
With roasted sweet potato “buns”, a spicy mini burger and toppings galore, no one is about to complain about these insanely tasty bites.
I guess I have to mention that they, these slider are PERFECT for Super Bowl too! Because it happens to be coming up this weekend.
Not that I like to pay attention or anything – my husband pays enough attention to sports for the entire East Coat in my opinion, so no need for me to mind the “Super Bowl”
But I do like burgers. And tacos. And sweet potatoes and bacon and guacamole! Which is why I don’t mind sharing football friendly Whole30 options with you even if football isn’t my bacon jam (if you know what I mean.)
Anyway, these burgers pack a ton of flavor for how mini they are – and even though they might look fancy all loaded up with toppings in the glamour shots, they’re actually quick and easy to make.
Get your toppings ready to go. I like to have my bacon cooked and crumbled, guac and ranch made already before beginning.
Then, You roast your sweet potato buns while making/pan frying (you can also grill) the burgers, and BOOM – once those sweet potatoes are good to go, you assemble the sliders and load ’em up!
MMM, now I want one! The sliders are also pretty kid friendly too – although the chipotle ranch has a bit of a kick (hence the chipotle) but otherwise, my kids can handle the bit of spice that’s in the burgers themselves.
You can always adjust spice levels a bit to your preference, adding more or less minced jalapeño and chipotle powder as needed.
Between these sweet potato sliders, my crispy baked buffalo chicken wings and BBQ bacon wrapped meatballs, you can have yourself a Whole30 finger food party – football or not – whenever the mood strikes!
Ah, Whole30 – if you feel deprived, you might be doing it wrong! With recipes like this one, Whole30 tastes so right it almost feels wrong. Except not actually wrong, just very, very right. If that makes sense.
I hope you’re hungry and ready for these tasty loaded up sweet potato sliders – let’s go!

Made these for Super Bowl Sunday. They were a hit!! So tasty and full of flavor. And not too spicy . . . Thanks. Cathy
Great to hear you liked them!
These are delicious! Sweet potatoes are better than any bun. I would definitely recommend these and will make them again.
No need for a bun 🙂 So glad you enjoyed!
Made these for Super Bowl. Absolutely delicious. Can’t wait to make again. Used half grass fed beef and half ground turkey.
Your recipes are the bomb. Keep them coming.
Awesome to hear! So thrilled you liked them 🙂
Could you make these with white potatoes if you had a ridiculously picky family?
Yes!
I have made these with white sweet potatoes. They’re not easy to find, but we (here in Texas) have a Whole Foods that carries a Hannah sweet potato, which is white. Sprouts carries one as well. They taste milder than sweet potatoes. I love them for burger buns.
How many are in a serving? Is it just 1 slider? Thanks!
I set it as 1 based on an app portion but if you’re serving as a meal it would be more 🙂
I just made these last night. What a hit! The flavors go together so well. I did add a little sriracha to the mayo mix. We had this for dinner but can see putting these out for apps in the future. This recipe was really great!
Yum! Sounds great!

This is my third day going through the Whole 30, wasn’t feeing good until this afternoon and decided to make this for dinner. OMG! These were amazing! I don’t usually make spicy things, jalapeños scare me, but this wasn’t too spicy at all! Thanks so much! They were great!!!
So happy you enjoyed them!

Wonderful blog! Do you have anny tips and hints for aspiring writers?
is that the real one?
My daughter-in-law made this fir us tonight and although we changed it a bit so it wasn’t so spicy (eliminated the jalapenos and used only 1/2 teaspoon chili powder in the mayonnaise sauce) these were very tasty! Thanks for the awesome recipe!
Great idea!! I am going to try it
The food making instructions you share are delicious and attractive. I really like these dishes. The recipe you share is very good. Thanks for sharing.
Your recipes look amazing. I hope to try the granola bars today. The advertisements, however, are profusely intrusive and I can’t imagine I struggling with these many more times just to try a recipe. Hoping you have a cookbook instead….
I make these constantly and double the sauce so I can put it on ALL THE THINGS.
Was excellent!! Another one to add to the family list!!
I understand these difficulties, because I am studying them so I know
Great recipe! Thanks for sharing slope
One of our favorite whole30 (and any other time) go-to’s! Time saving hack- buy a premade, complaint guac and instead of the sauce, use primal kitchen’s chipotle lime mayo. We also like adding some grilled onions as a slider base layer ??
I hope to try the granola bars today. The advertisements, however, are profusely intrusive and I can’t imagine I struggling with these many more times just to try a recipe. Hoping you have a cookbook instead….

These were delicious and bursting with flavor!! As a single person, I prepped the recipe for 4 servings (only used 1 lb of beef) and I made two sliders each night for a full meal.
I made these today and since I cannot have salt, I left out all the salt called for, made my own taco seasoning without salt, and used low-sodium bacon. Just excellent with all the other flavors; I didn’t miss the salt at all! I highly recommend this recipe! Thank you!
I have made this at least 3 times and it’s delicious! This always comes out just right. It’s so nice that eating healthy isn’t a sacrifice with this recipe!
