This cherry smoothie is creamy, delicious and refreshing! It’s dairy free, paleo, vegan and great with or without adding some vanilla protein. Breakfast, post workout or dessert, this smoothie is a summer (or anytime) favorite!

My everyday smoothie always includes cherries since they’re probably my favorite fruit!
And recently, I swapped out my chocolate flavor for some vanilla protein powder and came up with this simple smoothie recipe.
I really like my smoothies creamy, so I typically use paleo friendly yogurt (Culina is my fave) and frozen bananas to get a thicker, creamier texture.
But don’t worry if you’re not the banana fan, because I have another way of sweetening this delicious, creamy and fruity smoothie!
Let’s get into the details so you can make it ASAP.

What You Need to Make this Creamy Cherry Smoothie
For the paleo friendly, vegan yogurt, I like plain Culina but you can also use plain Kite Hill, Forager Project, Cocojune or any other clean ingredient vegan yogurt!
Here’s everything you’ll need to make this smoothie:
- frozen sweet cherries
- frozen banana slices*
- paleo friendly yogurt like Culina, Kite Hill, Cocojune, Forager project, etc.
- unsweetened almond milk
- scoop plant protein powder or collagen peptides optional
- cashew or almond butter, optional

How to Make this Cherry Smoothie
A good blender is key when you’re blending lots of frozen fruit, dates, nuts and/or ice into your smoothies or purées.
I’ve gone through many blenders and for smaller one serving smoothies like this one, I really like my Ninja blender.
The Beast blender is a new one I’ve been using lately and really love it too! It’s quieter than my Ninja and blends fast.
The Beast also comes with an option to make infused water, which I’m loving for summer.
To make the smoothie, simply add all your ingredients to the blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Then serve right away 🙂

Lastly, I usually have smoothies for breakfast or post workout, and I almost always add protein powder.
For a vegan friendly plant protein, Ancient Nutrition plant protein is great, clean ingredients and tastes delicious.
I also use the Ancient Nutrition collagen protein in both the vanilla and chocolate flavors for smoothies and I’m hooked on it.
I hope you love this cherry smoothie as much as I do! Grab your ingredients and your favorite blender and make sure to enjoy!
