These spicy Paleo Thai Turkey Burgers are packed with flavor and easy to make with a simple slaw and sriracha mayo. They’re great in lettuce wraps to keep the meal low carb or serve with my paleo hamburger buns!

I wanted to do something a little different, and a little spicy for grilling season.
These Thai inspired spicy turkey burgers with sriracha mayo totally hit the spot!
Not only are they seriously tasty, but they’re also naturally healthy, paleo friendly, and also keto if you serve them in lettuce wraps!
My spice loving daughter loved these and I couldn’t get enough!
It’s been awhile since I made anything with sriracha and the sauce – which I made with my homemade mayo – was out of this world yummy!
Let’s get into the details so you can get started.
What You Need to Make These Paleo Thai Turkey Burgers
Sriracha Mayo:
- homemade paleo mayo or avocado oil mayo – I love Sir Kensington’s
- Paleo friendly sriracha sauce – I used Yellowbird
- garlic, minced
- fresh lime juice
- sesame oil
Burgers:
- ground turkey – not too lean – I used 90%
- red onion, diced
- cilantro, minced
- ground ginger
- garlic powder
- paleo friendly sriracha sauce
- coconut aminos
- sea salt
- Avocado oil or nonstick cooking spray
Slaw:
- slaw mix
- scallion, thinly sliced
- lime juice
- avocado oil, or olive oil
- Sea salt and black pepper, to taste
How to Make These Thai Turkey Burgers
Make the sriracha mayo first. Whisk together all ingredients in a medium bowl and set aside. You can also make the sauce ahead of time up to a day and refrigerate, covered, until ready to use.
To make the burgers, mix together all ingredients. The mixture might be sticky depending on the leanness of the turkey. Lightly wetting your hands before shaping into patties helps avoid stickiness.
Heat a grill or skillet over medium heat and brush or drizzle with oil or spray with nonstick cooking spray.
Using slightly wet hands, form the mixture into 5-6 patties. Cook on each side for about 3 minutes or until cooked through. Transfer to a plate while you prepare the slaw.
Toss the slaw mix with the scallions, lime juice, oil, and sea salt and pepper to taste.
Serve the burgers topped with the sauce and the slaw. See below for paleo, Whole30 and keto options for serving.
What To Serve with Thai Turkey Burgers
You can serve the burgers in iceberg lettuce wraps to keep them keto and Whole30.
If you want a real bun, you can also serve on my paleo hamburger buns.
The buns are made in one bowl and super easy! Of course if you don’t need to be strictly paleo, you can always serve these burgers on gluten free buns of your choice.
I like the ones from Canyon Bakehouse or Udi’s if I’m not making paleo burger buns.
You can also use a keto bun like Unbun for a keto, but not Whole30 option.
My Favorite Paleo Friendly Mayo
My homemade mayo is hands down my favorite base to work with for dressings. It’s not anything like store bought mayo, texture or flavor wise!
It’s creamier with a very light flavor that allows the lemon to shine through, and no aftertaste like many store bought varieties.
You can find my recipe for homemade mayo here. If you aren’t into making your own mayo, I recommend the avocado oil mayo from Sir Kensington’s as a store bought option.
I hope you’re ready for the tastiest, flavor-loaded super healthy turkey burgers! Let me know in the comments if you love them 🙂 – Happy cooking!
