Maple Chipotle Ketchup - Paleo & Low FODMAP

Paleo, low FODMAP and refined sugar free maple Chipotle ketchup for a tangy and spicy topping or dip!

Ingredients

  • 6 oz organic tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp pure maple syrup adjust for you sweetness preference
  • 2 tbsp raw organic apple cider vinegar if you are sensitive to this substitute white vinegar
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp chipotle chile seasoning I used McCormick Gourmet Collection - go up to 1/2 tsp for more heat
  • 2 tbsp water
  • *1/2 tsp onion powder

Instructions

  1. In a bowl or tall container, combine all ingredients and mix well by hand. Add a bit more or less water to achieve the "dipping" texture you want.
  2. Use as a dip or topping for roasted veggies and veggie "fries", burgers, meatloaf, or really anything you want. Store in an air tight container in the fridge. Enjoy!

Recipe Notes

*The addition of onion powder will make this no longer low FODMAP, however, if you can tolerate it, it's a great addition to the recipe!
